F&CP Receives $150,000 Ogle Foundation Grant

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

The Paul Ogle Foundation has awarded Family and Children’s Place a $150,000 grant to increase child advocacy services in Southern Indiana. The Child Advocacy Center, located in New Albany, assists child victims of sexual abuse and their families through a variety of forensic, medical, and mental health initiatives.

“The Ogle Foundation’s support allows us to expand critically-needed services to sexually-abused children in Southern Indiana,” said Family and Children’s Place President Dan Fox. “We are thankful that the Foundation Board is responding to the needs of these vulnerable children.”

The Ogle Foundation aims to gives back to the community by funding non-profit organizations, activities and projects that directly improve the lives of people who live in Southern Indiana.

“During these tough economic times, many non-profit organizations including Family and Children’s Place have experienced reductions in funding from all sources, making it more challenging to continue providing the same critical services we’ve provided for years,” Fox said. “The Ogle Foundation recognizes the importance these grants make in the lives of so many children and adults in this community, and Family and Children’s Place is fortunate to have been awarded such a significant grant.”

Those interested in attending may register at www.kyyouth.org/Advocacy/cad.htm. Also available is a downloadable information packet and a view of the day’s schedule.
