Thursday, February 17th marks the 7th annual Children’s Advocacy Day at the state capitol. The event, to be kicked off by a 10 a.m. rally in the Capitol Rotunda, is designed to garner legislative support for programming that improves family health, juvenile justice, and early childhood education. A widely-backed agenda entitled the 2011 “Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children” outlines policy changes to do just that. Those interested in attending may register at www.kyyouth.org/Advocacy/cad.htm. Also available is a downloadable information packet and a view of the day’s schedule. Family & Children’s Place is a proud sponsor of Children’s Advocacy Day 2011.
