The funds will help support the agency’s Health Access Nurturing Development Services (HANDS) program, which works with new and first-time parents to give babies the best start possible. Eric, A Story of Recovery

Eric was a father of three beautiful children, all under the age of 10 and had been married nearly 12 years. Eric had a history of mental health concerns and his relationship with his wife was rocky, with threats of divorce looming. One night, while home alone with the kids, he decided to take his own life. Cooking Quiche with PAL Youth

On April 24, community volunteer Kathy Mathen visited Family & Children’s Place PAL Center prepared with cartons of eggs, fresh and frozen veggies, a variety of breakfast meats and cheese. Family & Children’s Place President and CEO Pam Darnall and other friends and supporters gathered this past Wednesday to call citizens to commit to ending child abuse and neglect, in recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. PAL Coalition collects items for the homeless

Family & Children’s Place PAL Coalition recently partnered with two local organizations to collect items for the homeless. Rev. Stephan Kirby with Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries and Melanie Hunter with Sidewalk Servants visited the PAL Coalition on March 5, 2019, and spoke to the youth about their organizations and the work they’re doing in the community. Family & Children’s Place receives $10,000 grant from Delta Dental of Kentucky

Delta Dental of Kentucky has awarded a $10,000 grant to support Family and Children’s Place (FCP). Family and Children’s Place focuses on preventing and stopping trauma in children as well as providing counseling services and other assistance to victims throughout the recovery process. This includes physical and sexual abuse, neglect and maltreatment and human trafficking. This past Tuesday, students and families attending Family & Children’s Place Healthy Family Nights had a special guest speaker – Sonja Grey with Exploited Children’s Help Organization (ECHO).
