Family & Children’s Place is proud to announce that its campus, including the Family Service Center, Kosair Charities Child Advocacy Center, and its parking areas is now a No Hit Zone. The declaration stems from a growing nationwide movement with hospitals, physician offices, prosecutors, law enforcement and child serving agencies to help reduce the incidence of violence. Jim and Madi Tate Fund awards $3,000 to Family & Children’s Place

Grant supports 10-week program to help at-risk students make healthy, positive choices LOUISVILLE, Ky. Leave no loophole in child abuse reporting laws

Under Kentucky Revised Statutes,  “any person who knows or has reasonable cause to believe that a child is dependent, neglected, or abused shall immediately cause an oral or written report to be made to a local law enforcement agency or the Department of Kentucky State Police; the cabinet or its designated representative; the Commonwealth’s attorney or the county attorney; by telephone or otherwise.” That means that under Kentucky law, if you see or suspect neglect or abuse, you must report it.
